Last Rave on Earth featuring This Hollow Machine and iku
with DJs Gigabyte, Mega Flare, and Super Sonic
Iku (8:45pm -9:30pm)
Have you ever heard a great pop tune and thought to yourself, “The mood is right, the vocals make me smile, and the melodies make me want to dance, but where are the gabber kicks, Amen breaks, and Reese basses?” If so, then iku just might be what you’ve been looking for! Iku combines a love for J-pop and high energy dance music to form a style of music self-referred to as picocore.
Iku is: Cyrus Fischer
This Hollow Machine (10:15pm-11pm)
This Hollow Machine began as a one off electronic noise performance in 2007, live members for that performance were Chad VanPelt and Tom J. Lynch. It continued as a casual solo project for Chad, collaborating with Tom off and on as time allowed. Chad eventually released the debut full length album, Cycle, in 2013. In 2015, Tom joined full time with the beginning of new live performances. They make melodic space music for noisy brains. They are both also members of Spider Lilies playing guitar and keyboard respectively.
In May of 2016, they released a new EP, “Subluminal”, as well as an exclusive track, “As I Return”, on the benefit compilation Electronic Saviors Volume 4. Their next release is tentatively scheduled for September 2016.

After his electronic punk band Moon Destroyers crash landed in the year 2009, Dez Troyer AKA Gigabyte, had to find a way to adjust to this new world. Most of his crew got jobs at Lowes or went to art school. Their fearless leader, Dez, finding menial labor to be below a lazy underfed slacker, continued his music career as a one-man-band, producer, and DJ, bending today’s primitive yet easily accessible technology to his will in order to create a gritty audible painting of his story.
Originating in the field of Tech-step Drum & Bass, he tutored the Central VA area in the finer points of the dark UK breakbeat sound. Treating this as a launching point, he has expanded both his stomping ground and his sound to include a wide variety of breaks (Old-skool Rave, Psychedelic, Electro), grimey dubstep, Moombahcore, and a mastery of nearly every imaginable kind of Drum & Bass. Currently he plays local clubs, parties, and sci-fi conventions.
DJ Mega Flare
Mega Flare started making Chiptune in 2011 and has since branched into other styles such as Vaporwave and Drum & Bass. Mega Flare hasn’t forgotten where he came from, though. He plans to keep on mixing and releasing music that he firstly enjoys, and he hopes that you enjoy it, as well.
DJ Super Sonic
Best known for remixing classic videogame music. He began his DJing Career in the Baltimore underground club scene and quickly became popular in the Videogame Anime Convention scene in the DMV area. When it comes to “Going Fast” DJ SUPER SONIC has composed many various styles of Chiptune including The Nintendo Gameboy(LSDJ) and The Sega Genesis (YM2612), and when it comes to 80’s Synthwave DJ SUPER SONIC pushes it to the limit with cinematic retro music that could easily pass for a 80’s style action movie soundtrack. DJ SUPER SONIC has also co-produced multiple video game and hip hop releases that will satisfy your inner twerkness. Get ready to reach speeds of OVER 9000 with the Fastest DJ Alive: DJ SUPER SONIC!
DJ and Streamer/Entertainer on Twitch, performing live DJ mixing featuring songs that crowds didn’t know they liked while also presenting a sense of nostalgia. He likes to keep things happy and upbeat but also melodic and different the whole way through a show so that it feels more like an experience rather than just music playing in the background.
